Bechtler Museum of Modern Art: Summing It Up at the End: Alberto Giacometti’s 45 Drawings Portfolio is on view until June 5, 2017. Presenting the portfolio 45 Drawings by Alberto Giacometti (Quarantacinque disegni di Alberto Giacometti), a collection that reproduced selected sketches made over the course of Giacometti’s career, from the beginning of his art training up to the portfolio’s publication, defining his artistic legacy for future generation.

Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture: The Future is Abstract is now showing. Curated by Dexter Wimberly, The Future is Abstract highlights the work of four contemporary artists – DeShawn Dumas, Rushern Baker IV, Torkwase Dyson, and Brenna Youngblood – working in abstract painting and mixed media. The exhibition includes an array of rigorous, process-driven works made from reclaimed or found materials, as well as classic painting and production techniques.
