26771745114_e0baedaf3d_kIn a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Levine Center for the Arts held a��FREE festival on Saturday, May 21.

All three Levine Center for the Arts museums����Mint Museum Uptown, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art; and Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture opened their galleries for FREE access during regular museum hours.

26771807234_f3823d4acd_kDocents from all three museums offered��FREE community tours. Food trucks were��on hand along Tryon Street. And there were��FREE��art activities at both the Bechtler and the Mint.

The festival was made possible by the THRIVE Fund, administered by Foundation For The Carolinas.

Despite the sudden thunderstorm, viewers were still able to enjoy the free plazacast of the Charlotte’s Symphony’s collaboraton with the Charlotte Ballet for Romeo & Juliet which began at 7:30p.m. ��Pre-performance activities began at 6:00pm and included a backstage, all access pass with the Arts Guy broadcast live on the outdoor screen.27345618386_10df6c81da_k
