What is Picasso saying? How can a lie help us see truth? Is the truth so close to us that we miss it, maybe ignore it����erhaps willingly? Is the truth buried so deep inside, underneath all the accumulating and categorizing we do for the sake of convenience and efficiency? Is the truth lost within the varying processes of productivity? If so, maybe Picasso is right: maybe we do a need a lie to snap us back to this truth, a lie that is so crafty and sensual that we can����t help but give it our attention. Experiencing this lie startles us because we realize we����ve been duped. It����s then that we see truth, so subtle and meek, just waiting it����s turn for our attention. Take time to experience beauty for the sake of beauty. Is there elegant design all around you that is under appreciated? Take a second and notice it. Think about what went into it. It����s staggering to think that another human being stopped what they were doing to create something that didn����t exist before: something that might point to some collective awareness we all may tap into if we were to just give it our attention.
